Program Details

The Solar for Apartment Residents (SoAR) initiative provides funding to support the installation of solar panels on eligible apartment buildings and other multi-unit dwellings in NSW.

The NSW Government, through financial support from the Australian Government, is providing up to 50% of the funding to eligible owners corporations (OC), or strata managers, to install shared solar systems on apartments or other multi-unit dwellings. The energy produced must be proportionately distributed to all residents in the building. A total of $25 million in funding is available through this initiative and up to $150,000 per project.
